Job Summary

We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Healthcare for Older People (HFOP) to join our Northern services based at North Devon District Hospital, Barnstaple. This role forms part of a wider integrated service, working collaboratively with our Eastern services at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care for older adults across North and East Devon.

Main Duties

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will join an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be provided autonomy and dedicated time to undertake supporting professional activities, including teaching, training, and the development of sub‑specialty interests. The post is offered on a whole‑time basis (10 PAs). Suitably qualified applicants who wish to work part‑time will be considered. Flexible working arrangements, including job sharing, will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
