A leading health trust in Aylesbury seeks a qualified professional to manage complex ADHD cases, provide clinical assessments, and lead the development of the ADHD Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership and experience supervising medical staff. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team that prioritizes care and inclusivity.
The post-holder will be responsible for a caseload of young people requiring management of their ADHD. These will typically be cases where there is a higher level of complexity involved in the management of the young person. They will also provide 2 PAs of clinical input into the neurodevelopmental assessment pathway, completing 1 to 2 assessments a week and contributing to a weekly post-assessment MDT meeting.
In addition, they will provide clinical leadership in continuing to develop the ADHD Clinic model in partnership with relevant operational managers. They will contribute to group supervision of the non‑medical prescribers. They will supervise an experienced staff grade doctor. There are opportunities for teaching medical students and resident doctors.
Buckinghamshire CAMHS is a welcoming and inclusive service. There is an established group of substantive consultants and senior managers who would be available to provide support to the post-holder. We would encourage interested applicants to contact us to discuss the post and the service in more detail.
