This includes working with paediatrics, police, the 136 Suite, the wider community children's services, and the inpatient unit.

We offer a recruitment incentive package to the right candidate

Main duties

This post is part of the leadership team within the service and will provide appropriate support and supervision to other team members. The post holder will be part of a clinical team providing specialist psychiatric advice to the multidisciplinary team. There is the potential to support medical trainees and advanced clinical practitioners, who will be supervised by the consultant.

The post-holder, with other senior members of the CAMHS Team, will be responsible for ensuring effective communication with referring and receiving teams throughout the Trust and Primary care. Where appropriate the post-holder will join therapy sessions in complex cases. While primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service, the Consultant psychiatrist is also expected to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services, helping steer the development of the service in line with the organisation\'s strategic direction.

The successful candidate will develop a personal development plan for lifelong learning. We also offer new appointees the chance to extend their development. If you would like to undertake a further qualification, undertake research or involve yourself in our transformation, we are happy to consider a flexible SPA offer above the standard 2.5 SPAs.
