A prominent hospital in the UK seeks a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Medicine. We are seeking a substantive Consultant in Anaethesia and Intensive Medicine to join our modern ITU/HDU at Kettering General Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire Group.

Main duties of the job: There is a 10‑week rolling job plan associated with this post. ITU and on‑call duties are delivered during the first five weeks with a shift pattern consisting of 12.5‑ and 8‑hour days, and night shifts where DCC is from 8pm to 11pm with on‑call from home thereafter.
For consultants with subspecialty in Anaesthetics their job plan includes approximately 3 weeks of an average of 6 theatre sessions per week, which include various specialities including general surgery, trauma, orthopaedics, ENT, maxillo‑facial surgery, urology, plastic surgery.
The appointee is expected to offer some flexibility in these sessions, although the theatre rota will generally be produced up to 4 weeks in advance, and it is normal practice to allocate appointees regular lists to allow for the development of team building, specific skill sets relating to areas of interest and ongoing working relationships.
