We are very pleased to offer the substantive appointment of a Consultant in Acute Medicine with a Specialist Interest, at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This position will be based at Barnet General Hospital. If appointed you will join a committed team of consultants, in our well-developed and respected service. We also pride ourselves on our supportive and forward-thinking culture., If appointed, you would support the Enhanced Care Unit, the acute medical ward and the AAU hub (through which run the acute medical take and SDEC pathways). You will also support the Acute medical team in other areas of service delivery, as and when opportunities arise.

When working in the AAU, you would become part of a team involved in running the fast turnaround bed base in the unit, and also in providing an adjoining same day/same week hot clinic.

You would also play a role in running the virtual ward service, a very exciting and expanding development for patients at our hospital.

You would be on the acute integrated medical on-call rota, supporting weekend and out of hours provision on a 1:8 rota.

  • You must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom or meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
