Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic Gastroenterology Department. The post involves delivering consultant-led gastroenterology care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with an emphasis on endoscopy, teaching and service development.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside surgeons, radiologists and allied professionals, contributing to research, governance and education

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Gastroenterology Department. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of gastroenterology services.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across inpatient, outpatient and endoscopy settings, contributing to the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. Working alongside consultant colleagues, specialist nurses, surgeons, radiologists and allied health professionals, the post holder will play a key role in maintaining and developing high standards of clinical care.

The department offers a supportive environment focused on service innovation, clinical excellence, education and research. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to service development initiatives and help shape the future delivery of gastroenterology services across the Trust.
