A prominent NHS teaching hospital in Oxford is inviting applications for a Consultant in Neurosurgery. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for neurosurgical patients, participate in a non-resident on-call rota, and engage in training. Key qualifications include full GMC registration and a fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery. This role offers a competitive salary from £109,725 to £145,478 per annum with full-time working hours.
Applications are invited for this substantive consultant post in the Department of Neurosurgery based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford.

The post is part of a team of currently 13 substantive Adult and 4 Paediatric Neurosurgery Consultants. The focus of the post will be the management of Emergency and Elective Neurosurgical patients in Functional Neurosurgery.
Appropriate administrative support will be provided for this post.
The Neurological Surgery Department has Academic and Clinical Training programmes. The applicant will be involved in training Specialist Registrars and Functional Neurosurgical Fellows (in a Royal College of Surgeons of England accredited Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship).
Provide inpatient and outpatient care for neurosurgical patients, both emergency and elective, and for subspecialty functional neurosurgery patients.
Take part in a 1:12 non‑resident on‑call rota with prospective cover, being within ten miles by road of the John Radcliffe Hospital when on call.
Work closely with other members of the neurosciences team, including movement disorder neurologists, pain physicians, psychologists, and Specialist Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
Equal access to clinics, theatres, junior doctor and administrative support and office space.
