We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a new male medium secure ward for working-age men, an important part of our well-established secure care pathway.
Whether you are an experienced Consultant or within six months of achieving your CCT, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead a specialised service within one of the UK’s most comprehensive and supportive clinical environments.
Be part of a clinically driven organisation with over 30 Consultant Psychiatrists and a medical leadership team deeply engaged in practice and service development. Work alongside a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) including psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, speech and language therapists, and junior doctors.
Access structured mentorship and support for newly qualified Consultants.
Experience an exceptional breadth of services on the Northampton site, including low secure, PICU, CAMHS, learning disability, autism, neuropsychiatry, forensic services, and academic research facilities.

As Responsible Clinician for a medium secure ward, you will lead the assessment and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs in a secure environment.
