Consultant Ecologist

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a highly regarded organisation, providing a wide range of environmental services to clients across the UK.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist to join the established and experienced team.

Responsibilities
  • Help deliver ecology consultancy services to existing and new projects, providing ecology support to pollution emergency response.
Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in a biological or environmental sciences discipline, with experience of working within an ecological consultancy.
  • Solid understanding of the principles and practice of key ecological field surveys and wildlife legislation.
  • Strong IT skills, capable of delivering high-quality communications with excellent analytical and numeric abilities.
  • Willing to learn new skills; hold or be working towards a professional accreditation and protected species licences.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence; flexibility to travel and adjust working hours depending on project locations and weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of aquatic environment legislation and its implementation, particularly the Water Framework Directive, would be advantageous.
