Role – Consultant Ecologist

Location - Birmingham (hybrid working)

Salary - £32 - £38K DOE

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist with a solid foundation in ecological surveys and report writing for a well-established consultancy in Birmingham. Their multidisciplinary team has a relaxed, down-to-earth approach to creating spaces where people and nature feel at home together. They focus on boosting biodiversity, using green infrastructure and water-friendly landscaping to make sure wildlife can thrive even in urban areas. Their work is all about balance—crafting practical, inviting spaces that support nature without sacrificing the needs of the community.

The ideal person will have at least one protected species licence (preferably for bats, GCN, or dormice). Proven experience conducting and leading various ecological survey and strong report writing skills with the ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation.
