A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist. This full-time role involves a significant dedication to MSK and major trauma imaging as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will hold formal radiology training and possess relevant experience, contributing to both specialized and general radiology tasks. The position offers benefits such as career development, flexible working arrangements, and various employee wellness programs.
Applicants are invited for a substantive full‑time (1.0 WTE) consultant musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologist post with an interest in major trauma imaging. The post has arisen due to expansion of the service and reconfiguration of the existing MSK imaging team. The appointment offers an opportunity to strengthen an established team of MSK radiologists, some of whom also support major trauma services.
The successful candidate will have completed formal training in general radiology and will have experience in MSK and major trauma imaging. Approximately 60% of their time will be dedicated to MSK subspecialty work including ultrasound, all aspects of cross‑sectional imaging, image‑guided procedures, MDTs and plain‑film reporting.
The appointee will also be expected to contribute to the general work in the department, including duty “hot desk” reporting, general CT and plain radiographs. Part of this will take the form of an extended day to regularly provide consultant presence from Monday to Friday between 5 pm to 8 pm. This will involve reporting A&E and inpatient scans to support the radiology registrars and fellows.
The successful candidate will have completed formal training in MSK and major trauma radiology and will have experience in all aspects of MSK and general cross‑sectional imaging.
