Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking experienced Consultant Dermatologists to join weekend insourcing clinics across Oxfordshire, supporting NHS Trusts in reducing waiting lists and improving access to specialist dermatology services.

This role offers flexible weekend sessions in a well-supported environment, enabling skilled clinicians to contribute to high-quality patient care while maintaining work-life balance.

Qualifications

• GMC registration as Dermatologist with Specialist Register accreditation.
• Active Licence to Practise in the UK.
• Experience as a Consultant Dermatologist within the NHS.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients on NHS waiting lists in weekend clinics.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and clinical findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow Trust pathways.

We are seeking experienced Consultant Dermatologists to join our teams for weekend insourcing clinics across Oxfordshire, supporting NHS Trusts in reducing waiting lists and improving access to specialist dermatology services.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake flexible additional weekend sessions within a well-supported, patient-focused environment, working alongside experienced colleagues to deliver high-quality clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat patients on hospital waiting lists.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and clinical findings.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to junior medical staff where appropriate.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, including follow-up recommendations in line with Trust pathways.

Requirements:

• GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Dermatology.
• Active Licence to Practise.
• Proven experience working as a Consultant Dermatologist within the NHS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions.
