Job description
The Role

The Psychological Therapies Team's (PTT) exist to address the psychological needs of adults residing in the Lanarkshire area. As well as providing clinical assessment, formulation and intervention, the service has responsibilities for consultation, teaching and supervision. The Lead Consultant role offers an opportunity to join the PTTs at consultant level, with responsibility for the operational management and professional leadership of a locality PTT. As well as carrying a clinical caseload appropriate to the demands of the role, the post holder will be required to take a leadership role within the team.

We are recruiting to 2 permanent Lead Consultant posts within the PTT. In addition to the 1.0wte 8c post within the Bellshill locality, we are also recruiting to 0.6wte 8c within the Clydesdale locality. Applicants will be considered for both roles. It is anticipated that interviews for both posts will be held on Thursday 19th February.

What we’ll need you to bring

To be eligible for Registration as a Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist as per the requirements laid down by the British Psychological Society (BPS). That is,

EITHER

hold a post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, which includes academic, research and clinical components

OR

  • be granted statement of equivalence by the BPS with respect to qualifications gained overseas

OR

  • meet the requirements by having attained chartered status via the “grandparenting” route.

For all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

This role will be based in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities within Bellshill Health Centre and Clydesdale Locallity
