The post is for the Consultant Psychiatrist in the Adolescent team (Ages 14–18) and includes working with the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. The second post is a new role for a second consultant within our growing neurodevelopmental services in Ealing, and the successful candidate joins an established team with opportunities for development and growth. The successful candidates will take a leadership role in Ealing CAMHS alongside their consultant colleagues and heads of disciplines. Our services have embraced digital and remote solutions for working and the service is open to discussing flexible working arrangements with the postholders.

The various roles and responsibilities of all staff and the Consultant group are agreed with the Clinical Director in line with the current service needs, service developments and clinical interests and managed within an annual formal job‑planning process. The post‑holder will have the opportunity to develop special interests that meet the needs of the service.
  • Clinical duties include psychiatric assessment and intervention expertise including diagnosis of psychiatric conditions and medical management of cases. The adolescent team role includes input into early intervention in psychosis and the neurodevelopmental roles include input into diagnosis of Autism and assessment and management of ADHD alongside the generic skills required for the role.
  • The post‑holders will assist with the delivery of a comprehensive range of assessments, therapeutic interventions, training and consultation in the multi‑disciplinary team. Each consultant team lead will share responsibility for allocated cases and other clinical leadership duties for the team.
