University Hospital is a large teaching hospital and is the Major Trauma centre for the Central England Trauma Network. We have a large Department of Anaesthesia which delivers perioperative care to around 44,000 elective and emergency patients, and obstetric care to around 6,000 patients. We provide anaesthesia and perioperative care for all major sub-specialties including cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery and renal transplant services.
