Job summary

City of Bristol College is seeking a Workshop Technician to support teaching staff across our trade areas, enabling practical training and safe assessment.

You will ensure tools and materials are available, order stock, and work with fellow technicians to keep workshops in good condition while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within construction or as a tradesperson.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to teachers in workshop areas to enable practical training and assessment.
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are available at specific times across the trade area.
• Order and manage materials and stock levels in line with college policies.
• Maintain workshops and facilities to required standards to support teaching and training.
• Promote student safety behaviours and high standards of workmanship.
