Construction Tutor - Highways Maintenance

We are excited to partner with a highly reputable and growing Training Provider specialising in Construction training. This organisation is Ofsted-rated Good and operates from a state‑of‑the‑art training and operations centre in central London.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

About the Role

As a Highways Maintenance Apprenticeship Tutor, you will deliver industry‑led training, equipping learners with practical skills for careers in Highways Maintenance. You will teach, assess, and collaborate with employers to ensure programmes meet industry standards, delivering safe, engaging, and high‑quality learning experiences.

What You'll Do

You will join a dynamic team using the latest technology to deliver employer‑led teaching. You will contribute to a wide range of programmes, including:

  • Entry‑level qualifications
  • Industry‑standard short courses
  • NVQ delivery
  • Apprenticeships
  • Higher‑level, industry‑recognised qualifications

You will receive a full teacher training programme, supporting you to pass on your experience to the next generation. A passion for helping learners develop their confidence, enthusiasm, and practical skills is essential.

Key Duties
  • Collaborate with employers to ensure programmes meet industry requirements
  • Deliver training in line with agreed plans, working with the Delivery Director and Quality team
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each programme
  • Minimise delivery risks in accordance with Health & Safety policies
  • Teach using state‑of‑the‑art technology and modern delivery methods
  • Record learner achievements in e‑portfolio and MIS systems
  • Undertake additional duties as required within the role
Key Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in Highways Maintenance
  • Passion for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
  • Strong English and Maths skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other IT systems
Qualifications & Training Required
  • English and Maths at Level 2 (assessment can be completed prior to interview)
  • Highways Maintenance Operative and Traffic Management experience (Level 2+)
Desirable
  • Previous Teaching, Coaching or Training experience within the Construction sector
  • Health and Safety qualification
  • A1 Assessors Award or equivalent (support provided if required)
  • PTLLS Level 3 or willingness to work towards it
  • NRSWA Streetworks and Traffic Management qualifications
