Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking an experienced Traffic Marshall for the Barhale site in Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent. You will manage vehicle movements, assist with deliveries and ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians across the site.

You should have construction-site experience, strong health and safety awareness, and good communication with drivers and site personnel. A CSCS card and proven traffic marshal experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Traffic Marshall on a construction site.
• Valid CSCS card and be able to provide certification evidence.
• Traffic Marshall or Vehicle Banksman培训 or certification desirable.
• Strong health and safety awareness for pedestrians and exclusion zones.
• Clear verbal communication using recognised signals.
• Reliability and punctuality for the full duration of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicle movements safely around the construction site.
• Assist drivers with reversing, manoeuvring and positioning vehicles.
• Ensure pedestrians remain clear of vehicle areas and maintain safe routes.
• Manage site deliveries and coordinate vehicle access to prevent congestion.
• Use recognised hand signals and clear communication with drivers.
• Maintain awareness of site activities and identify hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Follow site traffic management procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Communicate with site managers, supervisors, plant operators and drivers.
• Report incidents, hazards or near misses to the supervisor.
• Complete site induction and wear required PPE.
