Construction Studies LecturerGEDU Global Education

Our vision is to change lives through education. We are seeking lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends, and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Department: Academic/Bath Spa University partnership (BSU)

Location: Greenford or Stratford (On‑Site)

Salary: £55,000

Type of Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

The role

As a Lecturer in Construction Management at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules related to the principles and practices of construction management, including the legal, environmental and technological context of today’s construction industry. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering comprehensive course materials, overseeing all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and staying current with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
  • Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
  • Keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
  • Work towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
  • Maintain accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records
  • Work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Work with diverse groups of people
Desirable
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
  • Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes
