The role

As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead infrastructure, construction, and refurbishment projects that support the UK’s defence capabilities. From concept to completion, you’ll manage projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, and quality expectations. This is a chance to make a real impact on national security while growing your career in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

• Leading construction projects through the full lifecycle using the RIBA Plan of Work
• Managing subcontractors and supervising on-site activities to ensure quality and safety standards
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Overseeing procurement, staffing, and governance aligned with Babcock’s Business Management System
• Reporting on progress, risks, and corrective actions through Monthly Review Reports

Offering excellent work-life balance, this role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (Monday–Thursday 8am–4.30pm, Friday 8am–1pm) and is based on site at Rosyth with flexibility for occasional hybrid working.

Essential experience of the Construction Project Manager

• Experience managing construction or infrastructure projects from preconstruction to completion
• Track record of delivering projects within cost, schedule, and quality parameters
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards
• Ability to lead and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
