Job summary

Stonbury in Beverley is seeking a Planner to join our Delivery team. You will develop, maintain, and monitor project programmes from tender through to completion, coordinating with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure on-time, safe delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, critical path analysis and the ability to manage multiple projects with effective communication. Hybrid working is available with occasional travel to project sites and client locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Planner in engineering, construction, infrastructure or utilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of planning principles, scheduling methodologies and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update project programmes using Microsoft Project and Netsuit ProScope ERP.
  • Produce baseline, detailed and short-term look-ahead programmes for project delivery.
  • Monitor progress and update programmes to reflect performance.
  • Analyse critical path activities, identify risks, delays and opportunities.
  • Support mitigation measures and change management related to schedules.
  • Collaborate with project, engineering, commercial and site teams to gather accurate programme data.
  • Support tender planning and programme development for new projects.
  • Produce regular progress reports and planning updates for stakeholders.
  • Ensure programmes align with milestones, contractual requirements and delivery objectives.

We are recruiting for a Planner to join our Delivery team in Beverley.

  • Up to £70k doe
  • Company car / £7k car allowance

Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of water and environmental projects from tender through to completion. The role involves developing and maintaining project programmes, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting project teams to ensure delivery is achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed schedules. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and clients, and includes hybrid working with occasional travel to project sites and client locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project programmes using Microsoft Project and Netsuit ProScope ERP.
  • Produce baseline, detailed, and short-term look-ahead programmes to support project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and update programmes to reflect actual performance.
  • Analyse critical path activities and identify risks, delays, and opportunities.
  • Recommend and support implementation of mitigation measures where required.
  • Collaborate with project, engineering, commercial, and site teams to gather accurate programme information.
  • Support tender planning activities and programme development for new projects.
  • Produce regular progress reports and planning updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure programmes align with project milestones, contractual requirements, and delivery objectives.
  • Support change management processes by assessing programme impacts of variations and delays.
  • Experience in a Project Planner role within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or utilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of project planning principles, scheduling methodologies, and critical path analysis.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.


Holidays
