Are you a skilled construction professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting on behalf of one of our training partners for an enthusiastic individual looking to transition into education and assessment — helping the next generation of tradespeople succeed.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3+ years’ hands-on experience in bricklaying, carpentry, groundworks, or a similar trade. You’ll be mentored and supported as you work towards your Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA), taking on increasing responsibility in delivering high-quality NVQ assessments.

Key Details

• Location: London / South East (site-based)
• Contract: Full-time / Permanent
• Reports To: Lead Assessor / Training Manager

Main Responsibilities

• Support delivery of NVQ Level 2 & 3 in construction trades (bricklaying, carpentry, etc.)
• Act as a Work-Based Recorder by observing and recording learner competence evidence on-site
• Help learners build portfolios and prepare for completion
• Liaise with employers and IQAs to ensure quality standards
• Maintain accurate learner records using the organisation’s learner management system
• Participate in CPD, standardisation, and internal verification activities.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years’ construction experience (e.g., bricklaying, carpentry, groundworks)
• Strong knowledge of construction site H&S
• Good communication & organisational skills
• Willing to work towards Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA)
• Full UK driving licence (vehicle provided)
• CSCS card holder

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Hold (or working towards) an Assessor qualification
• Experience supervising or mentoring trainees
• Understanding of NVQs or apprenticeships
