Now's your chance to join a company that's shaping the energy transition — where your expertise will matter, your growth will be supported, and your work will help power generations to come.## Your missions**What are we hiring for?**The Construction Manager will ensure assigned site and project works are planned and delivered in line with QHSE requirements and with agreed contractual obligations and expectations with the intention to create a positive and collaborative client relationship.**What will you be doing?**Within this position you will be responsible for:• Planning, coordinating and managing construction activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant project delivery • Organise and deploy labour, equipment, materials and subcontractor resources to meet programme requirements. • Responsible for maintaining health, safety and quality standards • Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring clear direction, effective performance and accountability. • Keeping detailed records of construction site activities • Never instruct work to be carried out without first ensuring that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner. • Be suitably familiar with the contents of the HSE Plan to be able to ensure that they are fully complied with, including but not limited to: – Attend any HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested. • Attend and actively participate in coordination, planning and project meetings, including leading Toolbox Talks where required, ensuring clear direction, communication and implementation of project objectives • Ensure that workers have undergone sufficient HSE training to comply with the project HSE training requirements and be able to carry out all works safely. • Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully compliant with HSE requirements. • Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits. • Participate in Risk Assessments. • Conduct regular HSE inspections within the area of responsibility, promoting a positive safety culture and fostering collaborative relationships with workforce, clients, stakeholders and delivery partners• provide scope of works and schedules for workers • liaise with contractors, managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties remain coordinated • Participate in Risk Assessments. • Carry out periodic HSE inspections in the area. • Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported, as per procedure • Ensure that disciplinary matters are reported, quickly and accurately## You are**Training & Development expectations:**• SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Scheme) (essential) • CSCS Supervisor (essential) • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable) • NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (desirable) • City and Guilds in Engineering (desirable) • First Aid training (desirable)**Person specification:**• Experience of supervising site activities and subcontractors • Experience of managing site teams • Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 • Experience in in Mechanical, Welding and Fabrication activities, including stainless steel systems and equipment. • Experience in highly regulated industries • Experience in Nuclear • Good understanding of welding/fabrication/mechanical processes • Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive. • High levels of influence and strong leadership capability. • Experience managing external client relationships and key project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaborative project delivery • Experience of working within multinational teams would be of benefit## Additional information**Specialization:** TB1 - Construction management**Level of education (all)** Bachelor**Place:** United Kingdom, Bridgwater, Hinkley Point C**Employment level:** Cadre
