Job summary

ODGroup is seeking a Construction Manager to join the Majors+ team within ODInteriors in London. You will support the Project Manager, overseeing the full project lifecycle from pre-start through design, procurement, construction and defects period.

You will lead on-site delivery, monitor programmes, manage MEP installations and maintain H&S and quality standards, while building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering fit-out projects safely, on time and on budget.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Deep knowledge of building fabric and technical services.
• Experience with Asta Powerproject and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in pre-construction phase including procurement, programme and site establishment.
• Monitor the construction programme, advise on modifications and report progress.
• Site setup and management in line with branding and H&S standards.
• Manage project administration and documentation.
• Attend design review meetings for coordination and budget control.
• Liaise with Senior Technical Services Managers on MEP installations.
• Chair onsite subcontractor meetings and monitor programme, quality and safety.
• Build strong client, consultant and inspector relationships.
• Record changes and variations per change notification procedures.
• Deliver all project aspects in line with QHSE protocols and ISO standards.
• Support close-out and post-contract activities with the team.

ODGroup is a leading office interiors company based in the City of London, with a dual focus on both traditional construction and design and build. We have firmly established our brand due to excellent service and a commitment to ongoing innovation, and are on track for another successful year.

We are currently looking for a talented and ambitious Construction Manager to join our Majors+ team in our traditional arm, ODInteriors, securing and delivering projects as part of the delivery team.

This opportunity has been created to work alongside the project manager to manage the entire project process, from pre- start activities, through design, procurement, and construction phases, to practical completion and finalisation of the defects period.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

:

• Assisting the Project Manager in pre-construction phase, including procurement, programme and site establishment
• Monitoring the construction programme, advising on any modifications where necessary, including remedial/mitigating actions and accurate reporting on project progress
• Site setup and management in line with ODGroup branding requirements, and mandatory H&S and welfare standards
• Managing project administration to ensure documentation and recordkeeping is accurate and up to date
• Attending design review meetings for specific trades / areas to ensure buildability and coordination is considered and is within the commercial budget
• Liaising with project Senior Technical Services Managers to manage installation of MEP packages
• Chairing onsite subcontractor meetings, with specific attention given to programme, progress, quality, H&S and agreed ODGroup standards and procedures
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and third-party inspectors (building control, etc)
• Liaising with Project Manager and commercial team to maintain and record changes and variations in line with our change notification procedure
• Managing and delivering all aspects of each project in line with ODGroup QHSE protocols and procedures and to the standards set by our ISO accreditations
• Delivering projects in line with Zero Defects commitment, including the use of quality and snagging tools
• Ensuring that the project close out process is delivered in a timely and efficient manner with the most positive experience possible for the client
• Maintaining client and subcontractor relationships to close out post-contract works quickly and efficiently

• Deep knowledge of both building fabric and technical services
• Experience with Asta Powerproject and Procore, or similar packages
• H&S – minimum requirement of SMSTS
• High level of commercial acumen
