Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the assets associated with our operational sites involving water and effluent treatment. The role includes planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, installation of maintenance projects, and support of SCADA monitoring. The engineer will maintain analytical data in a computer‑based system and assist in developing the planned maintenance system, determining critical spares, and supervising subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety and Environment: work within the client and AOL HSE systems, show ownership of HSE issues at all levels.
  • Financial: complete purchase requisitions and track costs.
  • People & Behaviour: develop good team working behaviours with client and AOL staff; undergo training as required.
  • Operations and Maintenance: identify faults, evaluate rectification measures, make initial recommendations, and carry out basic or complex repairs.
  • Systems Knowledge: gather system information, complete plant logs, use plant information to identify performance changes, evaluate and recommend improvements.
  • Housekeeping: develop and maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Customer Relations: establish and maintain professional relationships with customer personnel, AOL and subcontractor staff.
  • Risk Management: raise any issues that could affect the client and AOL.
