Job summary

A global FM and property management company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects within the healthcare and gym sectors. You will manage projects valued from £30k to £2m, ensuring timely delivery and high quality. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and be commercially aware. Job description
The Company

A global FM and property management company who actively encourage internal promotion and progression.

The Role

As part of the Projects Team you will be responsible for the client side / principal contractor project management of all M&E / building fabric / small construction projects across a national healthcare and gym contract.

Projects can range to c£2m however values will typically be less, from £30k upwards. They will encompass all aspects of refurbishment of building fabric, heating, ventilation, electrical, civils, roofing, flooring and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing projects from cradle to grave
  • Agreeing project specification with the client
  • Managing the tender process
  • Appointing sub-contractors
  • Agreeing programmes / timescales
  • Ensuring quality of work
  • Agreeing applications for payment with assistance from the QS / commercial team
  • Managing snagging
  • Agreeing final account and handover
The Person
  • Ideally based in South West of England but willing to work UK wide as required
  • Experienced at delivering concurrent fast track projects
  • HTM knowledge preferred but isn’t essential
  • Ability to create value engineering ROI (Return on Investment)
  • Experience in a client side / principal contractor Project Management role in construction, civils or M&E building services
  • Good communication and man management skills and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Commercially aware
  • NEBOSH general certificate desirable

£60k - £65k + Car Allowance c£5k + 3%/5% Pension + Bonus + 25 days holiday
