Job summary

Untypical Limited is recruiting a Labourer for the Taylors Green development on a 6‑month fixed term contract. You will help maintain safe, tidy sites, support material care and waste management, and assist trades to keep plots clean and compliant.

Key duties include keeping welfare facilities, ensuring signage is maintained, and working under the Site Manager to uphold company standards and health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Experience on large volume domestic housing sites.
• Health and Safety awareness is essential.
• CSCS or partner scheme card required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compound and welfare facilities.
• Keep plots tidy on site for all trades.
• Walk plots daily to remove surplus materials.
• Segregate and recycle site waste per guidelines.
• Inspect on-site signage and keep it in good repair.
• Follow Site Manager instructions and company procedures.
• Report health and safety breaches to the Site Manager.
• Protect fixed materials and notify if removed.

About The Role

We have an opportunity for a Labourer to join our team on our Taylors Green housing development on a 6-month fixed term contract.

Our labourers are key to maintaining safe and tidy building sites as well as supporting the care of materials and waste.

Duties include:

• Ensure compound and welfare facilities are maintained
• Ensure all plots under construction are kept tidy by all trades
• Walk round plots under construction on a daily basis to ensure there are no surplus materials discarded
• Ensure all waste across the site is segregated and recycled following company guidelines
• Inspect all on-site signage including all large sale signs, plot signs, and safety signs etc., and ensure that signs are always clean and in good repair
• Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager, and in line with company standards and procedures
• Take personal responsibility for Health and Safety on site and report any instances of breaches to the site manager
• Ensure that all protection of fixed material is carried out by the sub-contractor who fits it, in line with company procedures
• Ensure that protection of fixed material is maintained to the last possible moment and notify the Site Manager of anyone permanently removing or abusing the protective materials
• Check show home gardens and public open spaces on a weekly basis and remove any items of rubbish which may have blown onto these areas
