Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Trainer to deliver practical and classroom-based training across live construction projects in the UK. You will assess competence, maintain records and help drive a strong safety culture on site.

Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will prioritise training programmes based on risk, audit findings and client requirements, delivering accredited and awareness-based courses while supporting ongoing development

Qualifications

• Recognised training qualification.
• Experience delivering Health & Safety or vocational training.
• Strong practical understanding of construction hazards and risk controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Appropriate construction competency card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based Health & Safety training across operational sites.
• Carry out theoretical and practical assessments to verify competence.
• Identify and address competence gaps across the workforce.
• Develop and update training materials and assessment criteria.
• Maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready training records.
• Support internal audits, client audits and accreditation requirements.
• Work closely with operational and H&S management teams to identify emerging training needs.
• Promote safe systems of work, RAMS and company procedures.
• Embed company values, safety standards and behavioural expectations throughout all training activities.
• Encourage a positive, proactive and collaborative safety culture.
