A leading infrastructure service provider in Dartford is seeking a proactive Construction Engineer to oversee the safe and compliant execution of electrical works on road and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the project's lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and NEC3/4 accreditation, alongside strong communication skills and a proactive approach. As a Construction Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of projects from pre-construction through to site completion. You’ll be at the heart of shaping how electrical works are delivered across road and infrastructure schemes, applying your specialist knowledge to influence design, drive constructability, and oversee on-site execution.
Working independently from framework contractors, you’ll ensure that every aspect of the build aligns with CP/CPS design standards, NEC contract requirements, and CDM regulations. From conducting early-stage design reviews to physically witnessing construction activities, your input will be critical in maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
You’ll collaborate closely with OPS teams to develop smart, cost-effective solutions that protect and enhance our assets. Your oversight will extend to supervising construction works, managing temporary works, and ensuring that health and safety, asbestos protocols, and final sign-offs are all completed to the highest standards.

This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
