A top UK law firm is seeking a Construction Disputes Senior Associate in Bristol to manage complex construction and engineering matters. The role involves direct client engagement, supervising junior lawyers, and a strong focus on business development. Suitable candidates will be qualified solicitors with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in contentious construction. This position offers a competitive salary and supportive career development opportunities in a collaborative environment.
Chadwick Nott are working on an excellent opportunity for a Construction Disputes Senior Associate to join a Top 50 UK law firm with a highly regarded and rapidly growing Construction & Engineering Disputes team.
This is a busy and well-established practice that is seeing sustained growth driven by strong client demand. The role offers the chance to work on high-value, complex contentious construction and engineering matters, within a team consistently recognised for the quality of its work and service.
The team is based in Bristol, with close integration with London, and operates as a genuinely collaborative, cross-office practice. You will have exposure to the full spectrum of construction disputes, including major projects, portfolio disputes and technically complex claims, both in the UK and internationally.
The practice acts for a broad and impressive client base including investors, developers, contractors, utilities and government-related bodies, with particular strength in energy and renewables, the built environment, and mobility and infrastructure. Work includes building safety and fire/structural safety disputes, large residential and energy portfolios, PFI and infrastructure projects, and risk management across the construction lifecycle.
As a Senior Associate, you will be expected to manage your own caseload, work directly with clients, and play an active role in supervising and mentoring junior lawyers. There is also a strong emphasis on client development, with structured support to help you build relationships and develop your business development profile.
You will be a qualified solicitor, likely with around 4+ years' PQE, with a solid grounding in contentious construction matters. Experience may come from a mixed practice, and candidates with slightly more or less experience are encouraged to apply. You will be technically strong, commercially minded and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership of matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a clear and structured route for progression, access to top-tier clients and work, and a supportive, collegiate culture that genuinely invests in career development.
A competitive salary and generous benefits package is on offer.
