Job summary

Reliable Contractors Limited is seeking an experienced Driver (Cat C1) to work on the Devonport project in Plymouth on a full-time, PAYE basis. The role involves operating Category C1 vehicles, performing daily checks, and ensuring loads are safely secured in a busy construction environment.

Candidates should have a valid Cat C1 licence, a safety-critical medical, and prior site driving experience. Ongoing work with lodge allowances where applicable and regular income are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 driving licence.
• Valid Safety Critical Medical.
• Previous driving experience, preferably on similar sites.
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operating procedures.
• Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Understanding of site health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles requiring a Category C1 licence safely and responsibly.
• Transport materials, equipment or personnel as required by the project.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Ensure loads are secured safely and comply with relevant regulations.
• Follow designated site routes, traffic management arrangements and delivery procedures.
• Complete relevant vehicle, delivery and inspection records accurately.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
• Comply with road traffic legislation, site rules and health and safety requirements.
