Job summary

A civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking a Buyer to join its procurement team in Henfield. Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Purchasing or Buying role, ideally within construction or civil engineering.
• Good understanding of material specifications and procurement processes.
• Full UK driving licence or suitable travel arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain competitive quotations for materials, plant, and services.
• Raise purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet programme requirements.
• Maintain supplier performance records and the approved supplier list.
• Support QHSE with supplier audits and compliance checks.
• Liaise closely with Contracts, Estimating, and Project Teams.
