Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager to lead client-side assurance for major programmes. You will ensure contractors follow approved methods, QMS and ITPs, while maintaining safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site.

The role requires extensive construction delivery experience, a degree in engineering/construction management, and Chartered status is desirable. You will collaborate with large project teams and provide management reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction management or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Chartered status (CEng, MCIOB, MRICS, MICE) or equivalent is desirable.
• Recognised HSE and environment qualifications are desirable.
• Experience in construction assurance and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Implement client-side construction assurance plan and oversee its execution.
• Monitor and verify contractors implement approved methodologies, QMS and ITPs.
• Provide assurance that construction works meet safety, quality and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor progress against the approved programme and oversee Construction Management Plan.
• Act as client representative on site and produce assurance reports for leadership and regulators.
• Capture lessons learned and drive improvements in construction quality, safety and delivery.
• Manage and support safety incidents when they occur.

• Responsible for implementing client-side construction assurance plan
• Monitor and verify that contractors implement approved construction methodologies, QMS and ITPs
• Provide assurance that construction works are delivered safely to required quality and compliance with design, technical standards, contract requirements and regulatory obligations
• Monitor construction progress against the accepted programme
• Construction Management Plan oversight and acceptance
• Act as client representative on site
• Produce assurance reports to leadership and regulators
• Capture lessons learned and drive improvements in construction quality, safety and delivery
• Manage and support any safety incidents

Qualifications

• Extensive construction experience in managing and assuring construction delivery on major programmes.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction management or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Chartered status (CEng, MCIOB, MRICS, MICE) or equivalent (desirable).
• Recognised HSE and environment qualifications (desirable).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large project team, including construction managers, contractors and supply chains to ensure compliance with technical standards, specifications and contractual obligations.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, be committed to delivering to agreed quality standards.
• Experience in construction assurance, and quality management.
• Knowledge of construction methods, risk management and safety requirements.
• Ability to produce assurance reports for the wider team, including senior stakeholders.
