Job Description
You'll be involved in a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, advising clients across a range of sectors. The role includes:
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
- Advising on project risk and contract management
- Handling disputes through adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation
- Supporting the firm's Commercial Property and Corporate teams on construction-related matters
- Engaging in business development and networking to grow the team's profile
- Contributing to thought leadership through briefings, seminars, and client updates
- You'll have the autonomy to shape your practice while being supported by a forward-thinking team and leadership.
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified Solicitor with relevant experience in construction law
- Strong understanding of standard form contracts and dispute resolution processes
- Commercially aware with excellent client-handling skills
- Confident managing your own matters and contributing to team projects
- Proactive, collaborative, and keen to develop professionally
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and business development
