Job summary

Deckers in Cannock is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers for regular, ongoing general haulage work across the UK. You will operate safe deliveries and collections and work with a professional transport team.

You must hold a Class 1 licence, Driver CPC and a Digital Tachograph card; have prior C+E experience in general haulage; be reliable, safety-minded and able to work independently or as part of a team. Weekly pay and modern vehicles on offer.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Have a valid Driver CPC.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience in general haulage.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete general haulage deliveries and collections.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport planners.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Work with Curtainsider trailers, Double Deckers.
