Job summary

Chester Zoo is offering a Conservation and Education Trainee placement within the Networks for Nature project. This fixed-term traineeship provides hands-on experience in conservation education, community engagement, and partnership work across a landscape spanning the River Dee to the River Mersey.

You will collaborate with partner organisations and communities to enhance nature access and wellbeing, developing practical skills in event planning and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• This trainee role is for those with little or no work experience.
• Passion for nature and wildlife is essential.
• Interest in developing administrative and event planning skills.
• Willingness to engage with volunteers and communities.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience across the Networks for Nature project.
• Support conservation education and community engagement activities.
• Assist with coordinating events and volunteers.
• Engage with schools and local communities to promote nature recovery.
