Job summary

Sepura Ltd in Waterbeach, Cambridge, seeks a management-focused leader to oversee the conformance testing team and drive planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication. You will ensure alignment with product timelines and regulatory demands while mentoring staff and organising the test lab.

This role emphasizes team direction, cross‑functional collaboration, and maintenance of robust test plans and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in testing and in a test management or lead role.
• Strong track record in regulated industries (telecom, electronics) testing management.
• Experience in sprint planning, agile methodologies, and managing team backlogs using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with coordinating with third‑party labs and certification partners.
• Experience organising and maintaining physical test labs.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management: lead, mentor, and manage a conformance test engineers team; plan sprint ceremonies; prioritise tasks for timely delivery.
• Planning & Strategy: develop conformance testing strategy aligned with product goals; create test plans and schedules; drive risk-based test coverage.
• Lab and Resource Management: organise and maintain a fully functional test lab; manage scheduling and equipment calibration.
• Execution & Reporting: oversee test execution, ensure proper documentation, track progress and quality metrics; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: align testing with product lifecycles with development, product management, and certification partners; liaise with regulatory bodies.
• Continuous Improvement: identify process gaps and drive improvements in test methodologies and automation where applicable.
