Overview

Conflicts Junior Analyst - 12 month fixed term contract | Location: London/Birmingham | Reports To: Conflicts Supervisor | Department: New Business Conflicts and Compliance | Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm; flexible/hybrid working options available (up to 40% from home). This is a 12-month fixed term contract within Hogan Lovells’ New Business Conflicts Department.

We are a global law firm seeking a proactive junior analyst to support conflicts research and resolution related to potential new business, new lateral candidates, and related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist firm attorneys and management in the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest
  • Identify potential conflicts of interest through corporate and conflicts database research of client and matter information
  • Perform database research and analysis of data
  • Maintain and update the conflicts database
  • Research the corporate history of clients and related parties
  • Respond to attorney and staff requests and perform conflicts of interest searches
  • Assist with resolution and clearance of business sensitivity issues and straightforward conflicts of interest
  • Coordinate receipt and documentation and preparation of engagement letters and client waivers/consents
  • Support the New Business Conflicts and Compliance Department with a range of research requests and projects
  • Perform general administrative duties including proofreading and filing
  • Contribute to research and projects related to basic conflicts of interest issues, including no-party matters and new matters for existing clients

Specific duties may be reviewed to reflect changes in personnel, location or services. All members participate in the firm’s Responsible Business program.
