Job summary

SA Safety Ltd. in the Southwest and Plymouth area is recruiting a Confined Space Rescue Technician to join a growing technical rescue team.

The role focuses on on-site safety management and providing critical rescue services to a diverse client base across industrial, utilities, and defence sectors. You will work with clients to safeguard safety, respond to emergencies efficiently, and participate in ongoing CPD and training to stay at the top of your field.

Qualifications

• Be able to pass security clearance and DBS check.
• CSCS Card required.
• Rescue Professional or UK Emergency Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing all duties as assigned by the Rescue Team Manager.
• Ensuring all appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all times.
• Ensuring all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are completed accurately and stored correctly.
• Understanding of client work permits procedures.
• Communicating effectively with our team members to ensure works are operating safely.
• Always ensuring availability whilst on shift to affect a rescue.
• Maintaining competence at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed.
• Participating in required training and demonstrates a working understanding of safe working practices.
• Ensuring their training accreditations are current and suitable for work undertaken.
• Inspecting and verifying equipment prior to use.
• Recognising worksite hazards and notifying the Rescue Team Lead of any unsafe conditions.
• Actively participates in toolbox talks and practical demonstrations of rescue techniques.
