Job summary

Watson‑Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions in Redruth is seeking a Configuration Management Lead to drive engineering change management and ensure traceability of product data across the lifecycle.

You will lead CM activities, maintain configuration models and specifications, and collaborate with design engineers to version control CAD drawings while ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical qualification required (HND/degree or equivalent).
• Proven experience in configuration management or engineering change control in manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PLM and CAD tools (SolidWorks, Windchill).
• Detail-oriented with robust organisational skills.
• Ability to contextualise and solve complex problems with effective solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and progress engineering change management activities.
• Maintain regular change control reviews, reports and communications.
• Maintain product configuration models for traceability.
• Collaborate with design engineers to version control CAD models/drawings.
• Apply configuration management principles to inquiries across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and progress engineering change management activities, ensuring timely and accurate change implementation.
• Maintain and facilitate regular change control reviews, reports and communications.
• Maintain product configuration models and specifications to ensure traceability of product versions and documentation.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure technical specifications, CAD models and drawings are correctly version controlled and stored.
• Uphold and apply a detailed understanding of configuration management principles to support configuration management related enquiries from multiple functions across the business.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations related to configuration management, document control and product compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of global processes and tools to reinforce and enhance configuration management and change management activities.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical qualification (HND / Degree or equivalent).
• Proven experience in configuration management or engineering change control within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding and expertise with PLM and CAD software tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Windchill).
• A rigorous approach to detail and robust organisational skills.
• Ability to contextualise and scrutinise complex problems to agree and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and with a broad range of stakeholders.
