Job summary

Shred-it is seeking a Service Driver to join our busy transport team in the Gateshead area. You will represent Shred-it at client sites, collecting and destroying confidential materials while ensuring confidentiality, courtesy and environmental responsibility.

The role is a 40-hour week over 4 days, with a focus on punctual arrivals, accurate documentation and professional client interaction. Key responsibilities include vehicle checks, loading and unloading at client premises, and providing

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV C category driving licence with current CPC and digital tachograph.
• Good spoken English language skills.
• Ability to read and understand customer information sheets and write clear daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Attend 40-hour week over 4 days as a key point of client contact.
• Conduct vehicle checks and report issues to CSS.
• Safely collect, move and unload confidential waste paper and electronic storage devices.
• Provide certificates of destruction and document loading times and locations.
• Ensure confidentiality, courtesy and environmental responsibility on site.
