Overview

You will receive a warm welcome into the Apex family when you join us as a Conference and Events Assistant. As a Conference and Events Assistant you will assist the team in the day‑to‑day operation of the conference and events.

You will be friendly and approachable and will go the extra mile for our guests. Your roles and responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event areas, which may include lifting and pushing tables and other furniture.
  • At times, you will be required to work independently to ensure timely and efficient preparation of event spaces.
  • Provide excellent customer service during each event.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Deliver the highest standards in service and presentation.
  • Prepare tea/coffee break stations with appropriate food and beverages at the correct time as stated on the Event Function Sheet.
  • Respond to and resolve guest requests, aiming to fulfill any special requirements during the event.
  • Ensure all working areas are kept clean and tidy.

You will be an excellent organiser with a passion for providing excellent customer care and for positively handling all guest requests with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

As a Conference and Events Assistant, we ask that you take pride in your work and have a willingness to learn. You will have a real passion for food and drink, and you will have excellent attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests prior to and during the event. We are looking for you to show your personality to our guests, to offer personable help and assistance. You will be great at multi‑tasking and efficient at resolving guest enquiries with a smile.

On your first day you will begin a structured 12‑week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Conference and Events Assistant. With this in mind, we are looking for a Conference and Events Assistant who:
