Job summary

Proman in Barnsley (S70) is seeking a Production Packing Operative for a busy confectionery packing line. You’ll operate packing machinery, prepare products for wrapping and ensure quality before dispatch.

The role runs 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on a long-term temporary contract with the potential for permanent placement. A reliable, detail-focused team player is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
• Flexibility to cover alternative shifts during holidays and sickness when required.
• Previous production, packing, warehouse, or factory experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating packing and production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Packing confectionery products ready for order fulfilment and distribution.
• Preparing products for wrapping and packaging.
• Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
