Join Close Brothers’ Chief Controls Office and make a real impact within our Savings business unit. As a Conduct & Control Analyst, you’ll support the Savings team to manage risks and controls effectively, embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), and ensuring compliance with bank standards, policies, and regulations.

In this role, you’ll help management make risk‑aware decisions, ensure transparent reporting, and support a strong risk and control culture. You’ll work with colleagues to evidence compliance, assist with regulatory initiatives, and drive ongoing improvements in our control environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support business owners in adhering to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), group policies, and standards, maintaining evidence of compliance.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and testing of controls within operating processes, including automated controls.
  • Perform risk and control assessments (RCAs), identifying key risks, controls, and control gaps.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for assessments and decisions.
  • Support the raising and quality assurance of risk events and issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Interpret management information (MI) and report risks to governance meetings.
  • Collaborate with risk and assurance colleagues to support integrated testing and reviews.
  • Contribute to the production of committee and forum packs, and take minutes at risk meetings.
  • Support the delivery of regulatory initiatives and the implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business products to ensure compliance and good customer outcomes.
  • Assist with training and capability building on process mapping and control assessment methodologies.

  • Analytical skills to critically assess information and produce logical outcomes.
  • Ability to challenge behaviours and drive process improvements.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE / ARE :
  • Experience in risk management, particularly in operational or financial services contexts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
  • Any risk or compliance qualifications or certificates.
