Job summary
Breedon Group plc is seeking a reliable Concrete Plant Operative to support the safe and efficient production of ready-mixed concrete at Clatchard Quarry, Newburgh. You will operate plant equipment, batch materials to design specifications and ensure quality while following strict HSE procedures.
The role requires teamwork and independent work as part of an Operations and Maintenance team, with a tailored salary and benefits package.
Qualifications
- Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Operate and control mobile concrete batching plants in line with production schedules
- Accurately batch materials to meet approved concrete mix design specifications
- Monitor plant performance, moisture content, slump and production output to ensure consistent product quality
- Carry out routine plant inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
- Adjust plant settings to maintain product quality, consistency and operational efficiency
- Record production data, stock levels, delivery documentation and quality control results accurately
- Coordinate with quarry operatives, drivers and site supervisors to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards at all times
- Identify and report plant faults, breakdown risks or material issues promptly
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the concrete plant
