A managed service provider is seeking a Computing Lecturer to teach Programming topics including Python and C at Newcastle College. This full-time, temporary role is an opportunity to support learners from Level 2 to Level 6, creating high-quality learning materials and providing academic support. Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (or equivalent).
  • A relevant degree in Computing (or related discipline).
  • Experience teaching Programming (Python, C) and Games engines (Unity, Unreal).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
  • Teaching qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver up to 24 hours of teaching per week.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess modules across Levels 2–6.
  • Create high-quality learning materials.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
  • Work collaboratively with programme leaders.

Skills

Teaching Programming (Python, C)
Experience with Games engines (Unity, Unreal)
Databases (Access, PhpMyAdmin)
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills

Education

Relevant degree in Computing
