Your Role as a Computer Science Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Computer Science lessons, adapting content for diverse learning needs.
- Use innovative teaching techniques and digital tools to inspire students in the field of technology.
- Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and teaching assistants to support student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
- Assess and track student progress, providing tailored feedback to help them succeed.
- Encourage students to explore coding, software development, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Promote digital literacy and computational thinking, equipping students with essential future skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop an exciting and evolving Computer Science curriculum.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with experience as a Computer Science Teacher at secondary level.
- Passion for technology and computing, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills to support students with additional needs.
- Experience in SEN, alternative provision, or differentiated teaching is desirable but not essential.
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching Computer Science.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
