Your Role as a Computer Science Teacher
  • Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Computer Science lessons, adapting content for diverse learning needs.

  • Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and teaching assistants to support student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing tailored feedback to help them succeed.
  • Encourage students to explore coding, software development, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote digital literacy and computational thinking, equipping students with essential future skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop an exciting and evolving Computer Science curriculum.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with experience as a Computer Science Teacher at secondary level.
  • Passion for technology and computing, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills to support students with additional needs.
  • Experience in SEN, alternative provision, or differentiated teaching is desirable but not essential.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching Computer Science.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
