Computer Science Teacher – January Start (KS3 & KS4)

Location: Shrewsbury

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Long‑term (4 or 5 days per week)

We are looking for a motivated Computer Science Teacher to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in Shrewsbury for a January start. The role can be 4 or 5 days per week, providing flexibility to suit the right candidate.

Role
  • Teach Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 for a suitably qualified candidate)
  • Deliver high‑quality lessons that engage students and develop their computing skills
  • Support students through exam preparation and coursework
  • Collaborate with the department to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching methods
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
Ideal Candidate
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS (for ECTs)
  • Have experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Be passionate about computing and technology, with a desire to inspire students
  • Be able to create engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Be reliable, organised, and able to contribute to the school’s wider community
