We're looking for someone who can deliver dynamic and effective lessons across all key stages, helping students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the digital world. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons in Computer Science to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Teach a variety of topics, including programming (e.g., Python, Scratch), computer systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, providing helpful feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Help cultivate a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the computing curriculum and offer exciting extra-curricular activities.
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of all students, supporting their social and emotional development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
  • A strong grasp of the National Curriculum for Computer Science and relevant exam board specifications (e.g., OCR, Edexcel).
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An up-to-date Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).
