Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, temporary role in Harrow, London. The position offers a route to permanent employment and pays in line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS).

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, possess strong CS subject knowledge, and demonstrate effective classroom management. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess progress and collaborate with staff to support student success.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that develop students' understanding of computing, programming and digital technologies.
• Teach key concepts across relevant key stages, including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, computer systems and data representation.
• Inspire students to develop their problem-solving, logical reasoning and computational skills.
• Introduce students to programming languages and practical computing applications, adapting lessons to suit different abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor student progress, assess learning and implement strategies to support academic achievement.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.
• Encourage creativity, independent thinking and the responsible use of technology.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised equivalent, where applicable.
• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Computer Science and digital technologies.
• Demonstrates effective classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.
• Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Has the ability to explain complex computing concepts clearly and make programming accessible to learners.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Is enthusiastic about helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
